Espinosa neemt afscheid van FC Twente: "Voor altijd een Tukker"

Javier Espinosa vertrok onlangs bij FC Twente. De 27-jarige middenvelder was twee seizoenen actief bij de club uit Enschede, waar hij het kampioenschap in de Keuken Kampioen Divisie meemaakte. Op zijn Instagram-pagina bedankt Espinosa de Tukkers.

"Hallo Tukkers", begint Espinosa. "Na twee seizoenen scheiden onze wegen. Twee mooie jaren waarin ik met trots het shirt heb gedragen. Sinds mijn komst wist ik dat het een behoorlijke klus zou gaan worden, maar dat we deze met hard werk, vertrouwen en steun konden klaren. En zo ging het. We keerden terug in de eredivisie en wisten ons te handhaven in dit vreemde seizoen."

"Ik vertrek met opgeheven hoofd, wetende dat ik alles heb gegeven", vervolgt de Spanjaard. "Ik ben trots op de liefde die alle supporters me hebben gegeven. Vanuit mijn hart bedank ik de supporters, teamgenoten, technische en medische staf... Ik ga het spelen in de Grolsch Veste missen, met die prachtige sfeer. Voor altijd een Tukker", aldus Espinosa.

Espinosa speelde in totaal 57 wedstrijden in het shirt van FC Twente. Hierin was hij goed voor acht doelpunten en dertien assists.

Hello tukkers. We separate our road after these two seasons. Two years full of joys and proud to have defended the shirt of this club. Since I arrived, I knew that it would be a big challenge, and that with work, trust, and the union with all of you, we would achieve it. And so it was, ascending to the Eredivise, and maintaining the category in this strange season. I'm leaving calm having given it all, and proud of the love I have received from so many fans and friends. Thanks from the heart to all the fans, to my teammates, technical and medical staff, Jacob, Asmar, Kim ... many people who left and who always supported me and trusted me. Me voy tranquilo de haberlo dado todo, y orgulloso del cariño que he recibido de tantos y tantos aficionados. Gracias de corazón a todos los aficionados, a mis compañeros, cuerpo técnico y médico, Jacob,Kim... muchas personas que dejo y que me apoyaron y confiaron siempre en mí.
